LESSON: Somewhere Over The Rainbow

LEVEL: Pre-intermediate
PRE-LISTENING:
· In pairs (or individual), do vocab exercises 1 and 2. Write any new words in their vocabulary page in their notebooks. (If they don’t have a vocab section, this is a great day to start!) - 4-6 minutes
· Pronunciation practice to become comfortable with the sounds and words. Say these words as naturally as possible and students write down the words. (1. That you dream of. 2. That’s where it is. 3. Wish upon a star. 4. Why can’t I? 5. Wake up 6. Melts like lemon drops. 7. I think to myself.)
LISTENING: Do these steps in whichever order you see works best for your class.

· Listen a second time and finish the exercise.
· Review their answers
POST LISTENING: Optional depending on the level of your students. Ideas:
